Thank you for your interest in MEDIQ Physical Therapy. We offer supervised DPT clinical rotations and shadowing opportunities for college and high school students exploring a career in physical therapy.

Why train with MEDIQ Physical Therapy

What you can expect

- Opportunities to support community events, screenings, and workshops when available
DPT Students Clinical Education
How to apply
DPT students must apply through their university’s clinical education coordinator. We accept students through school affiliations only. After your program reaches out, we will confirm availability and site requirements. Because placements are limited, we also complete an application review and interview.
What you will do and learn
- Progressive evaluation and treatment with function focused exercise
- Goal setting, outcomes tracking, and documentation standards
- Return to activity testing and clinical decision making
- Weekly in services, case discussions, and skills practice with your CI and staff
- Occasional opportunities to help coach or guide pre PT students when available
Expectations
- Complete any pre rotation reading and onboarding items
- Be punctual, professional, and compliant with all clinic policies and patient privacy standards
Shadowing College and High School Students
Shadowing is designed for students who want to observe clinical care and confirm interest in PT.
How to apply
Submit the request form below and upload:
- Resume
- Unofficial transcript or latest grade report
- One short reference from a teacher, professor, coach, or employer
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must approve participation.
What you will experience
- Observation of evaluations, treatments, and re assessments
- Brief daily learning moments with your mentor
- Supportive, non clinical tasks that help the clinic run smoothly when allowed
Expectations
- Follow staff direction, maintain confidentiality, and dress appropriately
- Be respectful, engaged, and ready to learn
Application Timing
We review requests year round and schedule based on clinic capacity. For the best chance at preferred dates, apply during these typical windows:
- Fall: March 1 to July 1
- Winter: July 1 to September 1
- Spring: September 1 to November 1
- Summer: January 1 to March 1
