Daniel Flores, PTA, serves as a remote care navigator supporting patients at MEDIQ Physical Therapy. He earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of North Texas and his associate degree in physical therapist assistant from the University of Saint Francis. His clinical experience includes outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, home health, and skilled nursing facilities.
Daniel’s interest in physical therapy began through his brother, who had cerebral palsy. Seeing the impact of his brother’s physical therapists inspired him to pursue a career helping others. He enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and helping them regain independence.
In his role, Daniel checks in with patients about their prescribed exercises, progress, and any challenges they may be experiencing. He provides encouragement and education to help patients stay engaged with their plan of care and communicates questions or concerns to their treating physical therapist.
Through the MEDIQ PT app, patients can access their prescribed exercises, mark them as completed, and stay on top of their routine at home. Together with Daniel’s check-ins, MEDIQ’s remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM) program helps the care team follow patients’ participation and response to treatment between visits. This support reflects MEDIQ’s belief that recovery extends beyond the clinic.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys kayaking, staying active, and working toward his fitness goals. He is currently training for a half marathon. Originally from Indiana, he has returned home after spending several years in Texas.
